During the past year I have paid numerous visits to the Grant offices trying to prove my disability to the members of Home Affairs in order for them to approve of my disability grant that was terminated since January this year even after I submitted medical reports stating my illness and the medication I was being given.
I've spent many days sitting at the Grant office in vain as all I was told was that 'they would look into the matter'. My bills were in arrears and I was finding it rather difficult to make ends meet. I finally reached a point where I lost hope.
One month ago I visited the MF offices in Phoenix after giving it a lot of thought and I was told to speak to Councillor Bradley Singh. I explained my problem to Councillor Singh who was very helpful.
A few days ago I received a call from the Grant office telling me that they have managed to sort out my grant and that I should be receiving payment within a few weeks.
I cannot explain how grateful I am to Councillor Singh for his help. He surely does stand out amongst the rest as many will speak but very few can deliver, and ever since he has been elected he has been doing nothing but delivering what he promises.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Councillor Singh.
