Caption: Minority Front Ward 52 Cllr Bradley Singh Shows the Dumping on Whetfern.
Residents of Whetfern are irritated by the eyesore dumping site of refuse bags and chopped trees outside their homes, which has been collecting along the roadside and infested with rodents.
One resident, Shaun Pillay alleged that ever since he moved into the area people have been dumping outside his house.
"Honestly we cannot live like this in the area. If we only knew that it would be like this, then we would never have moved into the area in the first place. I do not understand why people do not dump their rubbish outside their own homes, instead of our homes", retorted the angered Pillay.
Ward Councillor, Bradley Singh, intervened to settle the matter and contacted Parks and Gardens who will be delegated to clear the place.
Singh said that the state of the road was an eyesore and that is ridiculous for human beings to behave in such a manner, especially when the environment is concerned.
"Residents must understand that they are responsible and not take the easy way out by throwing their dirt in front of other residents houses and if anyone is caught they will be taken to court. They will also be issued with high fines by the municipality. So I urge residents to be responsible and please do not dump", Singh said.
Kind Regards
